  • Title: Painting Flower Portraits with Texture with Carolina Dalmas
     Dates: January 21, 2023 - January 22, 2023
Location: 127 Simonton St, Conroe TX.
  • Level: Beginners - advanced

  • Cost: $290
  • About the Workshop:
During this two-day intensive workshop, building blocks of line, value, color, composition, and edges will be covered, which will give the participant a deep understanding of each element. Each block will start with a presentation and a demonstration that will give the participants a clear and deep understanding of each step, followed by exercises. This way, on the first day the students will be building up step by step the painting of a white flower. On the second day, a very vibrant and highly intense color flower will be executed using all the concepts learned the previous day.
Day 1: Shades of whites: Painting white flowers with pastels.
We tend to paint white and white objects using neutral shades of grey and pure white. But there is a lot more to add to the palette to make out the subject matter to sing. During this class, we will focus on painting a white flower with plenty of color tints, adding reflected light from the object surrounding it.
Day 2: Bright & Vivid Petals: Painting high-chroma flowers with pastels
Very intense pigments will be used to paint these flowers.  Concepts like chroma, intensity, value, and color temperature will be learned while exploring the anatomy of elongated curved petals
